What are the benefits of Paint Protection Film/clear bra (PPF)?

Clear bra creates a shield over your vehicle, which prevents 99% of rock chips and pitting caused by debris from the road. Learn more about the PPF benefits here and learn about the process involved here.

What brands of Paint Protection Film do you offer?

We offer STEK, Suntek and Xpel Paint Protection Film.

Does your Clear bra come with a warranty? If so, what does that cover?

Yes, STEK & Suntek comes with a 10-year warranty. Warranty covers delamination, yellowing, bubbling and cracking or any issues related to manufacturing defects for 10 years from installation date.

How long does Paint Protection Film/ clear bra last & can it be removed?

Most people will typically remove PPF 7-10 years after the initial installation. The film can last 10+ years but this is greatly dependent on vehicle use and care. On the other end, some people who do autocross or track their vehicle may want to remove film after 2-5 years, not because the film is bad but the surface will get beat up and not be as aesthetically pleasing.

How much does Paint Protection Film cost?

The cost can range greatly based on coverage options and the difficulty of the install. This could be as low as $100 for something like headlight coverage and all the way up to $8,000 for a full body paint protection film.

My car has existing rock chips, scratches or minor defects. Can I still apply PPF?

Yes, PPF can still be applied. The adhesive has the ability to cover up a lot of defects, but some things can still show up or be enhanced under the film like rock chips or deep scratches/etching in the clear coat.

My car is new, does it really need a Paint Correction or Polish?

Technically no, but no new car is perfect. All new cars will either have light swirls from sitting at the dealership or small blemishes in the clear coat from transit. Remember, a new car from a dealership is far from new. Typically, vehicles at a dealership are at least one year old since manufacturing at the factory. During the time from manufacturing to customer purchase at a dealership, a lot of hands and surfaces have come into contact with the “new” vehicle’s paint.

How long do I need to leave my vehicle for a Paint Protection Film application?

This varies based on coverage and difficulty of installation. A typical job will take between 2-5 business days.

Can PPF self-heal?

Yes! Heat (including sunlight) activates the self-healing properties in the top coat of PPF, which can eliminate light swirls, scratches, or marring. This is why it is important to take proper care of your vehicle to prolong the life of the film.

What do I need to do after the installation to maintain the film?

Vehicle’s with PPF do not need to be maintained any different than a vehicle without PPF. You can still apply wax or ceramic coating to the film just like you would directly to the paint. That being said, it is important to maintain any vehicle with proper washing techniques. Be sure to consult your PPF installer for tips on proper washing.
